Hey! I'm Ashley, Founder & Co-host of Sit, Lay, Rest. Like many of us, grief found me early in life when I lost my mom when I was 9 years old. That loss shaped me in ways I never expected, and it was not long after that I experienced my first heartbreaking goodbye to my beloved dog, Biscuit.

In 2023, I started The Day After, a podcast dedicated to young loss. Through The Day After, I was inspired to create Sit, Lay, Rest and I'm now dedicated to giving a voice to a commonly ignored area of grief - the loss of our beloved pets.

I live in Delft, Netherlands, with my fiancé Nate and our fur babies, Lady & Molly. When I'm not recording or connecting with our community, you'll find me cheering on the Buffalo Bills, traveling, or volunteering at the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter. 

I'm honored to create this space where we can share our stories and navigate pet grief together - because your story matters.

Hey! I'm Elizabeth, or as most call me, "Liz". I have a beloved family-given nickname too, but I'll wait to share that until we get to know each other a little better. I'm your humble co-host for Sit, Lay, Rest. Loss and grief are ever-present in my life, as they are with most, and I'm ready to talk about it more. I'm a mother to an amazing little girl and loving wife, daughter and friend. The true definition of a "leo", passionate animal lover, yogi, and homebody who is happiest cozied up with a good book. I've experienced significant loss in recent years but the passing of my 14-year old soul dog, Isabel, has fueled my desire to connect with others experiencing deep emotional pain and grief from pet loss. I'm grateful for the opportunity to hear your stories and continue our healing journeys as a community.
